wow, all that and it only makes 10 wheel tq more then stock, this is why i disliked my old B16, nice HP figures though. BTW why did you make the VTEC corssover so damn high? I really dont see the point in changing it from its stock x-over point with those mods.

Vtec crossover at 7K?????? Something doesnt sound right here.

Is your B16 USDM or JDM? With a Spoon HG and .020 mill, his static compression should be around 10.7:1(w/ PR3's) or 10.9:1(w/ P30's).

it wasnt stated but this was done w/ stock exhaust manifold. 171 is very good and for the record most b16's stock make 140's . with a header id guess he could gain 5+whp. nice setup .

Most stock B16's put down between 130 to 135 whp!

I'd like to see the dyno graph on this one, b/c everything just sounds too weird. Vtec crossover at 7K?????? You would have a drop in power from 5K to 7K. 171 whp on stock exhaust manifold? Do you have an exhaust?

the primary lobes are pretty big on the toda b's and can support power on a b16 to higher than most cams. trust me if the car stoped making power at 5500 than that would of been his crossover point. ive yet to see the dyno chart myself but i know the tuner and he is capable of finding the crossing point of the torque curves

If you were to add more compression you could lower that vtec point. Since the compression is fairly low, the cams are big enough that they bog and don't climb...thats why it's set so high.

Come on man, not raise the vtec point in a mild compression 1.6 liter motor with good sized cams?? You really think that the .6 has the torque, displacement or the compression to turn a Toda B at 5,500? If your theory were true, then why would Honda set the b16b crossover at 6? Maybe you outta do a little more research into the b16

Good point but 7K seems high to me! Toda B's are awesome cams but I have never seen them set to crossover at 7K even on a B16. However every motor is different.

He must have a really good tuner b/c 172 whp is really good for a B16 with stock exhaust manifold. What kind of fuel management? Where does the power peak? And what is the toque at hp peak?

What kind of dyno was that on? I have a 1st gen b16a with the following:
AEM CAI,Spoon T-body,ITR INtake manifold,DC 4-1 header,Tanabe Catback,Skunk2 STage 2,Portnpolish,3angle valve job,fuel regulator,apex vafc and mugen headgasket. I put down 174hp and 113tq on a dynopak dyno.
