Default tire size on my vx hatch

i need new tires for my 95 vx BAD. i looked and they are 165/70/13. i was looking in R&T at one of the tire ads, and the closest i could find was 175/70/13 or 175/50/13. the 175's will be a little wider that my current tires correct? also, how much would it throw off my speedo if i were to get the 175/50 as opposed to the 175/70. suggestions please?

anyone know how much the speedo would be off with the 175/50? would anyone suggest NOT getting the 175/50?

It will probally be off about 7-8mph if you get that different of tire size . The widness wont matter it will actually make your car handle better.
