Default New Longblock

I just got a new JDM B18B longblock. I was wondering what would be easier in my DC4: 1) Pulling the longblock out and leave the tranny there, or 2) pulling the whole ******* thing out together separating the old block, and mating the new block and droppin back in. Sorry if this is a dumb questions. I wanna learn about my car by experience, yet also do things right the first time. Thanks.

i would pull the whole thing out, it is much easier to assemble outside of the bay...

If you don't mind a little extra work, but alot less headache I would drop the tranny, pull the engine, put it all together and drop it in, or put the engine in then mate the tranny to it, in my experience its easier to manuever an engine without a tranny into an engine bay than all of it, but that is with b16's in crx's. Either way I would just drop the tranny first and pull the motor out. Then do whatever you think would be easier.
