Default Cam(s) questions

Right now my jdm b18c has:

lightweight flywheel(11 lbs)
lightweight crankshaft pulley
stage 1 clutch kit
itr header
2.5 inch exhaust
short ram air intake

I want to throw a set of cams and intake manifold on this car.

What cams and intake manifold would yeild the best performance for my setup. I don't want anything to drastic cuz I'm a newbie and ain't much of a tuner.

Also if you see some other mods that would yeild some more horsies let me know...Anything let me know....

Help me out guys,
thanks,
98civic94gsr

if u did some searching u'd prolly find what u need.

but in any case.. you could look into type r cams, blox spec a cams, or skunk 2 cams. for the stage 2/spec b you would need to upgrade your valve train, retainers and valve springs, might want to get adjustable cam pulleys also.

for some extra ponies, you could look into a VAFC then you should tune your car with the cams installed.

port and polish your head while your at it too.

Hold on.....Vafc is a big I wouldnt do stage 2 cams unless you have your head milled.

So what should I do. Get stage 1 cams? If I just get stage 1 cams would you guys also get new retainers and springs? Anybody got stage 1 cams and the other stuff I need?

Wouldn't a skunk 2 im be better than the snail?

Stage 1 cams you most likely wont need new valvetrain. Skunk2 intake manifolds make good top end power, I would leave your IM stock.
