How to adjust luminas?
Hi guys.
i just bought a couple of tokiko luminas for my 90 CRX for $70. total.
They look legit and stuff. Pretty damn new looking too. My question is...
Are they white?
And how do i adjust them?
Thank you,
Rick

Tokico Illuminas are typically white bodied, the non-adjustable are painted blue. They should or at least they used to, have it written in red writing on the body...
You need a small flat bladed screwdriver for the top, 1-5 is softest to hardest.

What do i do?
Just put it in the little slot and turn?
Will i feel notches or something? Cause i don't think that they are numberred.
Thanx in advance!

Yes, around the slot for the screwdriver, it is numbered. There should be detents, that you will feel.
This is on a Hachiroku application, but the area in question should look the same:

If you don't have the top two pieces to adjust it,
Supposebly Tokico will send you new ones for free;
[from what I have heard..]
I put rubber vacuum caps over the shock studs so if the adjuster comes off
the pieces won't get lost..

you can still adjust it w/out the caps (or if you manage to break the top of your very old shaft off when you put the hex-key in, leaving you with no "hole" to put the adjuster in- don't ask me how i know)
the little d-shaped metal shaft is what turns. look at the pic above and you can see where the numbers are 1=full soft, 5=full firm. turn it to full soft (counter-cockwise), and then go the right distance clockwise to what you are looking for.
