not sure if this is the right place to put this but today i raced a 1998intregra ls (mt)w/ i&e v.s. my stock 93 prelude vtec.
We both launched great and were dead even, then shifted to 2nd and he pulled a half car at the beggining of 2nd and by the end of 2nd we were dead even again, then i heard him shift to 3rd gaining 5feet or so then i shifted to 3rd about 2sec later and was again right next to him, then i hear him shift to 4th, and that time he actually dropped back about a half a car.

Then when i tried to shift to 4th it wouldnt go in, i thought i just miss shifted, but i tried to put it in 5th and it would not go in either, i came to a stop and tried to put it in any gear and it would not go in, also my clutch went out, it would not engauge.

So what do you guys think happened? Could it have been the pressure plate cracked?
Or could it be the tranny??

 

It wouldn't engage or disengage? When the motor is off can you put it in gear?

 

it wouldnt engage, and no it wont go in any gear when the motor is off
