If there's a Puffing noise in the engine and it shakes the engine. What could be the cause of that?

 

When you say puffing, do you mean the rpms pulse/go up and down at idle?
And when it shakes, does it shake as in almost stalls?

I found out what's wrong. It's an exhaust leak. Check where u bolt the headers to the front firewall. and if it's a hf header, make sure u bolt all the bolts under all the 3 pieces. Which are, HF header,HF collector,HF pipe that goes to the cat. It has 2 springs on it.! From that your problem sound be fix.!

 

is this like an empty can with rocks inside sound?

pictures of the location of the problem your talking about would help us in need. and what tool to use to adjust/tighten it.

 

Like i said. i used the HF manifold and all the HF pipes and hook it on my ZC dohc motor. It fits. And there's 9 bolts that needs to be tighten very good so it doesn't HUFF and PUFF any air out. Exhaust leak is what's it's called.
