Requesting info on Honda TSB 00-006 Rear Suspension Clunk
I actually got a copy of that while I was at the dealer, I've had the problem on my 99 since I bought it. The fix is to replace the LCA bushing. It specifies 0.8hr labor for each side + parts (I think I was quoted 20-30 each).
But if anyone else has a hookup for the TSBs, let me know. I have some I need, and the dealer wouldn't give me all of them; they didn't even like giving me this one, but I had the car in for the same problem so many times and they couldn't fix it.

Did you experience a clunking sound as you were braking to a stop? That's what happens to me and it is very annoying
. We definitely need a hookup for TSB's on this site. I find it hard to believe no one has really put anything together yet. If not the whole TSB, at least a description of how to resolve the problem. Thanks.

Which LCA bushing did you have replaced that fixed the problem?
Inner bushing (mounts to rear subframe), Shock mount bushing or, Outer bushing (mounts to trailing arm)

Ooops... It's the trailing arm bushing:

That's the second time I screwed up TA and LCA, and it was even about this same bushing. Make sure you replace it with OEM, the poly is to stiff and won't allow the full range of motion and will cause binding and bump steer.
Mine squeaks all the damn time. Constantly. Most of the time you can hear it over the radio. Drives me nuts; but I don't want to have to do all the work to replace it either.

Thank you very much! I guess that bushing has to be pressed in and out...

When I took my 99 Civic HB for the recall on the ignition to get fixed, they told me I need to replace my rear trailing arm bushing, bastards didn't tell me there was a recall on it though, Gwinnett Place Honda
Mine makes a loud popping sound randomly when I go over bumps

It wasn't a recall, it was a TSB. Recall is a repair done for free. TSB just gives the tech a solution to a problem, sometimes due to failing parts and/or other causes. Depending on your relationship with the dealer they may or may not take care of you.

90-014 JAN 97 Rear Trailing Arm Bushing Noise
That's for 99 integra. I think all of the trailing arm bushings are the same with 90's civic/integras

yeah, once the trailing arm is off, only takes 5 minutes to press the old ones out and new ones in!!

Some auto parts places have this tool for rent, makes it a hell of a lot easier than using a regular press. All you have to do is drop the front of the trailing arm down. No need to remove the entire arm.
