Default Hi all i have this problem with the heat, but i don't know what it is.

i have a honda and everytime i accelerated the sound at the belts started to make noises. when it gets louder the heat stop blowing. i wonder if i need to change the new belts or the heating system is worn out, or maybe the alternator. it also happens when i turn on the radio, lights, or roll down the window. i just what to know what's cause this?

Could you step over to the side, so we can see what YEAR and MODEL you have.
My crystal ball is out of service, and I failed clairvoyance 101 class.
I'd have to advise you to tighten or replace the belts that are making all the noise; in the meanwhile I'll look up all the info I can find for your 81 accord.

Congratulatations you have a Honda too!!! Laughing my *** off there but your loose belts and the heat have nothing to do with each other.

Water pump is run off your timing belt, if the timing belt was slipping your engine wouldn't be running. I'd bet money on it you got two entirely different problems. And did you seriously have to post just to ask us what to do if your belt is loose?

i just learned this in class earlier this week... when the heat goes away under higher engine speeds, thats usually means your coolant is low. the higher your engine speed, the faster the water pump will pump the coolant thru your heater core and if there isnt enough coolant to keep up with the pump, then the pump will end up pumping air. im guessing that your heat is there under low speeds and idle and only goes away when u accelerate or at high speeds?
