ok, my buddy needs to get the fuel rail off of his jackson racing supercharger, but its not wanting to come off. theres a large nut in the middle that seems to be connected, but we can't get it off. im a b series guy, so im lost on this k20 stuff, if you guys know what we need to do to get the rail off, please let me know, tia.

That is not a nut, and is not connected to anything other than the fuel rail. The fuel rail is connected to the engine only by the two bolts. Once those are off you just have to pull. Be carefull as there will be fuel in the rail still under pressure.

Incorrect. Each injector has a ground strap that ties into a main grounding bundle that you have to unbolt in order to take the assembly off. Be sure you remove the nut/bolt/stud connecting this ground strap before tugging on things.

And yes, you will get gas everywhere. Wear goggles and gloves if you know what's good for you: I've had gas in the eyes and it sucks pretty bad.

I've seen this on ephatch also...of course take the injector clips off the injectors..but your main problem is that thing with the black cap on...like I said in the other post, whoever installed that, should not have left that black cap on...makes taking the fuel rail off a pain in the ***. The only way will be to pull on the fuel rail and away from the jrsc...be careful with the injectors.

My bad, I forgot about the ground strap.

ah, I take it the jrsc wasn't on his car yet...so he's using stock injectors due to not having hondata?

he'll be dissappointed..I had that for my ep3....ran a 14.8 at best with the 5psi pulley. it blew. I ran a 15.3 before I had it.

wow, i would've guessed faster et's. how heavy are ep3s? because even with about 180 hp, i know a car weighing a little over a ton should pull better times. any traction issues? but anyways, yeah he bought the whole kit + the race kit for 2k, sold the race kit for like 6 hundy, so yeah, no injectors, no hondata reflash. he says he wants to keep the ep3 street legal and retain some gas mileage, i told him to keep it, but whatever. either way, it'll be fun.

yeah, at first the low end feels great...but my traps were only 90-91 with the street kit...I didn't really have any issues with traction. That's why I took it off and went turbo...but then with the turbo I got way too needy for more boost and my wristpins gave out, sent them flying out of the block...so now I'm going NA with a k20a2

But yeah, sounds like he'll have fun with what he needs/wants.
