Default motor swap questions

Okay I am swapping a b16a1 into my 1988 Honda Civic Hatchback.

NowI will need a Motor Mount Kit and 88-91 integra shift linkage. I already heard that they make shift linkage for this. I need to Know the cheapest Place to find Them. And On http://www.jspecautosports.com They have a B16 package with = • Complete Motor , • OBD0 ECU (Computer) , • 5-Speed FWD Cable Transmission With Clutch components assembled to the engine. Does Anyone know where it is cheaper to get this package than there price (1775)?

And say i want to buy parts for my car with the swap.

what year intake do i buy? like civic year

What turbo kit do i get? 88-91 turbo kit? special turbo kit? or some year turbo kit for si?

Thanks for all your help

Check azracemachine for the mounts and linkage..(Cheaper then hasport)
Hmotorsonline.com has the b16a swap for like $1250

You have to get certain parts made for the 99-00 civic si or dohc vtec del sol..

You buy the intake made for your car and make it fit,,
Although I think aem is supposed to have some hybrid intakes out soon....

You can either custom fab a turbo kit together or buy a kit like drag or rev hard..They have kits specifically made for the 88-91 civic/crx with a b-series motor

I just ordered linkage from there yesterday... $95 with free shipping. sounds like a good deal. also I bought motor mounts (not aluminum) on ebay through streetimports.com for $168 shipped or a bit more on their website. you also need to get Axles for a 90-91 integra with cable transmission (also look on ebay for them, go for OEM rebuilt over aftermarket. I got mine in the mail yesterday, and paid $126 shipped. as far as engine components go you should look at '94 del sol with dohc vtec and tranny stuff for 90-91 integra cable tranny. I am getting a swap in a week and a half hopefully from an engine importer local here for $1445 with free delivery I can't wait!

look for other threads on what components you should replace on the engine too, like water pump, timing belt and so on... the search function works great.

a word about cheap Ebay mounts - yesterday, we had a customer bring a CRX with B16A into the shop and said his alternator light was on, could we check the alternator - raised the hood and immediately noticed that the mounts had collapsed, letting the engine move back and to the driver's side - the alternator had cut a hole in the frame (just like a hole saw) and then bound up (yes, the frame had been pounded out to clear alternator) - the belt was turning, but not the alternator - checked the mounts a little closer and turns out that even before they collapsed, the engine was not in the right location - was about 1 inch toward the rear - have also seen similar problem on cheap Ebay mounts for H22 in EG, where engine was not leaning back like it should and the passenger side was over 1 inch higher than it should have been - save yourself a lot of trouble and pay for the good mounts - you get what you pay for - both of these guys ended up getting Hasport mounts

If you happen to have a DX/STD chassis converting to MPFI can be a bit of a pain for most people. If you require assistance with it checkout Rywire.com
If you have a MPFI chassis and only need a VTEC subharness we offer them for $55 shipped.
Enjoy! its fun thats why we all do it headaches = knowledge gained lol
