i need a strut...your advice please

i need a front right strut. i know if i get new struts i wouldhave to replace the both the left and right ones's...well i was thinking to save my self some money, i wanted to go to the junk yard and pick up a strut from a junk accord and install it. do you guys think its worth doin that to save myself the money???? i mean with the money i save from the seocnd strut i can probably buy an o2 sensor i need. if one strut is bad, does that mean the other is one it way out too? thanks for the advice and help

Possibly, like you said if you have to replace one you have to replace the other side as well. You could go to a junkyard and get a salvage one though I don't think I'd do that myself. How much are two struts from Honda? You can always go aftermarket which, in some cases would be cheaper.

When I installed them, I scored up the shaft on the rear struts (stinking bolt was on there soooo tight) so I had to replace the rear struts. Since I bought all four struts (they were cheaper that way) I have two extra fronts. I thought the GR2's were OEM replacements e.g. they ride the same. As far as the ride it may be a smidgen stiffer but over all it's the same, the only difference is the strut body is significantly thicker and seemed much more heavy duty then the OEM ones.
