When mixed with moisture, salt becomes extremely corrosive. Get it off your car.

Salt over good paint, not so bad. Just don't let it linger for weeks.

Salt over Honda paint, not so good. Just don't let it linger for days.

Salt over metal, not good at all. Just don't let it linger for hours.

if i remember correctly.......

salt on the paint itself doesn't actually hurt anything. it's when you mix salt and water, and then you let the car dry with the salt on there is when the damage happens.

Salt is actually pretty good on the paint. Even better is salt, combined with some chopped fresh cilantro, a slight grinding of black pepper, and a dash of tabasco sauce. But if you really want an expert opinion on the topic, ask 1GreyTeg.

If you keep your car freshly waxed, wash it during the winter when you can, and clean the underside of the car, then you should be ok. If you can wash it once a week. If it's too cold then do it when you can.

<---whose caR has never seen salt...and will stay that!

i have lived no where but the NE my whole life and have seen salt eat holes right through the body of caRs, what it does to the undercarriage is even worse. Its a great idea to spray the undercarriage of your caR if you have a lift or access to one.
