about a month, my only trouble was starting out in 1st, the other gear changes were easy as hell. i can now downshift really good too, like an auto with no jerking.

Me too first was my biggest thing all the other gears were easy. Still have the original clutch so I musta been doing something right from the beginning. YOu get so used to it that when you have to drive an auto you feel like you are forgetting something, or you can do the dumb *** thing I did. I took my mom's 98 Accord to the dealer for service and I was coming to a stop and just slowing down like normal and then I put the clutch in... umm yeah she has an auto... the guy behind me wanted to kick my ***. DOLT!

about a week or two and you'll feel so natural driving it you'll forget what an automatic is. I have the same prob, not as much lately but before almost everytime i needed to drive my sisters car i would press the clutch when starting it, but the prob is its an auto and it doesn't have a clutch. i love manual trannys.

well since I was old enough to reach the pedals, i think 7 or 8, i have been driving tractors and other farm equipment then moved on to an old stick ranger we used to run around on the farm
you wanna learn then start with reverse, if you can get reverse down the rest of the forward gears will seem like cake

I never drove a stick. I've only been driving for a little more than a year....legally that is. I've just had no access to a manual transmission.

I was coming to a stop and just slowing down like normal and then I put the clutch in... umm yeah she has an auto... the guy behind me wanted to kick my ***. DOLT!

When i was 16 or maybe 17 my father took me out in one of his camaro's and after a couple hours of parking lot maneuvering i drove home, and only stalled once on the ride home. We later that week went out again and i drove it well enough that i didnt need anymore "lessons".
