i guess thats not that bad of a price but could be cheaper ask him to lower price like dude said, but if u are going for power or doin a whole swap then i would suggest piece together a b-series swap for around the same price or spend a little more and go b-series, trust me b-series is the way to go.
hmm dats what i have been thinking but this d16 z6 will be an easy swap for me so i can learn more and i can get it soon because it's my cousin's friend and he doesn't live too far from here..iono im still a newb lol..rite now i've only got about 1g in the bank so yep...i just wanna get the d16z6 and have fun with it until i can get more money but thanks!

The question as to whether $400 (or any other price) is good is not a simple yes/no type of question. It depends on alot of things. First of all, engines are just more expensive in some places than others. So $400 may be a good deal in California (where these motors are in demand), but a bad deal in Montana (where demand is lower). Also, consider how soon you want the motor. Yes, a cheaper motor may come around at one time or another. But who knows when it will? Will it be a week from now? Will it be a year from now? Who knows? It could be that you might even decide to pass this one up and not find anything cheaper for months. And then there is the condition of the motor as well as what it comes with. All of these things, along with your budget, must be considered.

I caught a good deal on my "new" hatch with this engine installed in it. It is a pretty decent engine w/o the vtec hooked up, so I can't wait to get the vtec done. Like someone said before, you WON'T be able to use the tranny, so get them to lower the price more if the tranny was included.
I agree NikoZai about rywire.com. The guy is a member here and he's been very helpful. I will be ordering my vtec wiring from him.

well first off i dont live in montanna i live in Minnesota and i'm pretty sure motors are in demand up here as much as California too. I want the motor now so if he has it i'm gonna buy it simple as that and i believe the motor is in perfect condition. My cousin bought the same deal from him and his motor has been running perfect ever since he's had it which is probably almost 2 years now. So yeah if he still has it i'm getting it.
