I wanted the coating, and a little lower compression than what the p30s would give me. Also nobody around had the p30s oversized in stock. I actually got the last set of oversized p73s from http://www.jhpusa.com. BTW, they shipped from cali on Tuesday, and I received them today (Thursday) in Texas. Nice shipping for 13$.
I know the compression is not much different (like .2 to .3 more w/ p30s), I really just wanted the ITR pistons. I did not want anything over 11.5:1 compression w/o having to use a thicker than OEM headgasket.
