Have someone pump the pedal as you look at the slave cylinder to see if there any movement. You sure the clutch was install properly?

If the car running and it goes in gear but it wont engage, the only thing I can think of is the pressure plate is bolted on wrong.

Is the car on jack stands?
I did a clutch job once on my old honda, and when in gear on stands it wouldn't turn the wheels.
As soon as i let it down onto the ground, it worked fine.
I have no explanation as to what caused it.

If you set it back onto the tires, and it still doesnt work, the only thing i can think of is that the clutch disc is on backwards. I think that is what the person ment when they said pressure plates.
