I have done my research and done the searches. I know this has been discussed before. I was really looking for a bracket for the vortech unit on an h22. or a whole kit. No one seems to sell it. or does any one have blue prints for one. I work in a machine shop and could have one made if i have measurements. one of the old posts speak of a bracket by it doesnt say who made it or where to get it.
If anyone could help me out it would be great.

i know a guy up in phoenix that made a supercharger for his 4th gen lude, including all barackets and everything it is super sweet. I believe he is the only one with a superchargered 4th gen lude. i think if i talk to him he could just make you the brackets and whatever other parts you need and then just ship them to you i will talk to him. i will try to find some pictures of his prelude and show the bracket and supercharger in it.
i wouldn't mind getting a supercharger for my 4th gen too...can you ask him for me how much it'd cost for the whole setup?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Go look at vortech. centrifugal superchargers you can run either. the waste gate (bypass valve) is so you run a high psi pully so you can get alot of boost right above idle and when you get up in the rpm where it will produce more boost you ween it off just like a turbo. and a bov you use so you dont have back surges towards the compressor.
So yes you can use BOVs and wastegates (bypass valves) with superchargers. you dont use them with jackson racing because that is the intake and it has internals.

HERE ARE THE PICS OF THE CUSTOM BRAKET

I TALKED TO HIM HE SAID THAT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED I CAN GIVE YOU HIS EMAIL/PHONE. HE ALSO SAID THAT HE CAN MAKE YOU THE CUSTOM BRACKET FOR THE H22A MOTOR OR HE WILL BE SELLING THE WHOLE SETUP WITH INJECTORS AND ALL EXCEPT THE ECU AFTER THE CAR GOES INTO HONDATUNER. ALSO TO DO THIS YOU WILL HAVE TO GET SOME PARTS OFF OF THE 5TH GEN PRELUDE IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN THE POWER STEERING PUMP AND CRANK PULLEY.

yeah this is the jackson racing set up. This is a roots type blower. I was actually looking for a centrifugal supercharger bracket. can anyone help me out.
Nobody has done the vortech kit yet, there was discussion about it but alot of people brought up the fact that the powerband on that unit wasnt the best. =\ Im sure it wouldnt be hard to make the measurements yourself and try it out. Post up a dyno... You might need to make a few custom pulleys though but other then that, making brackets should be simple enough since it sits in front of the engine and not behind.
hey kulrevon, i'm looking to supercharge my lude as well and i live in Putnam valley as well, do you do work or do you know a good shop. i have the black 5th gen with the red sparco seats if you have seen me around

The problem I am having is that. I dont have a blower yet. The blower looks huge to try and make it sit in front of the motor. But I have seen what procharger does on the b16 and gsr. it sits in the wheel well real low. I will have an extra h series sitting out of a car soon so i will get those measurements and hopefully will have a blower soon. anybody wanna help out on this build.
I don't know anyone who makes it but I saw a centrifugal sc on a 4th a long time ago. They made a bracket where the power steering is located and attached the sc there.(instead of having that long *** rod on the b16 design) Then they connected the piping to an intercooler and then from the intercooler to the intake manifold. It was a cool *** design but it was all custom. Its just like having a turbo since you can have bov.
Your just going to have to design your own brackets and get the right belt size/length.
Let us know how your build is going when you do it.

just an idea - but can't you run a driveshaft from the pulley section overtop the headers and mount the supercharger in the area of the battery. You'd obviously have to relocate the battery, but I think some of the kits are built that way. Take a look at the pictures for the 98 gsr motor from vortech and you'll see what I'm talking about. http://www.vortechsupercharger....html
I personally have a 5th gen and would love to see the supercharger built no matter what people say about their efficiency, etc.

yeah I am actually looking into that but I think it is more fesibal if I move the alternator down to were the a/c is and loose the a/c and maybe the powersteering. and just put the supercharger right on the front of the motor low enough so I have hood clearance.
Actually my battery is already in the trunk so I have tons of room over there.I actually have the manuals to the gsr vortech just for this reason. I would have to mount the bracket on the bolts that attach the bell housing to the tranny. I would have a hard time on measurements and trying to get the transfer rod level and square to the engine. is anyone else thinking this would be a good project.
