Hello all my current set-up is :
00 civic si
cai
apexi ni
skunk2 im
zex 55 shot dry
all my buddies are running chipped p28 with all motor gsr's in hatch and we are all good runs about mid 14's on the 1/4
so all of us agree the ecu is the most cost effective upgrade in their set-ups i am looking into getting one but it advances timeing and i know required to retard timeing to run a higher shot with the zex kit. so maybe the ecu isn't right for me???
any recommendation and a management to help always but also when i spray?and i am on sort of a budget.

do not get one of the ebay "spoon or skunk or jun" chips... those just adavance the timing and lean out your fuel so you can blow your engine using that with nitrous.
Look into getting Uberdata with the P28 not for boost, but for the ability to adjust the fuel maps in not only vtec fuel maps, but the rest of the fuel band too.
Good luck.

no i was not talking about those cheap 20 dollar chips but the outcome would probably be the same.

the best thing to do would be to go with a hondata system a chipped ecu does in fact advance timing and lean out " a deadly combination for your motor"hondata will give you all the options you will need to finely tune your car..
You never know what your getting with those chips but most of them have advanced timing in the upper rpm which is bad for nitrous. Your better off running a stock ecu. Since its only a 55 shot i say just buy a walbro 255 and a fpr. The dry shot relys on the fuel pressure. While your sqeezing your fuel pressure will be bumped up to help out the nitrous/fuel mixture. The fuel pump will help keep the pressure steady so there no drop or anything. Use the fpr to tune the pressure beacuse with the pump alone you will get about 50psi at idle and factory is about 38psi.
