How to remove main bearing caps while engine in car?
I just pulled the bolts out and I thought the main caps would slip out ,but wrong. I tried wiggling a screwdriver in the hole of the main cap that also failed. How do I get them to come out? First time doing this
put both the main cap bolts back onto the cap(dont screw em in, just put them in there) and wiggle both of the bolts sideways and foward. that should get them out.

agree!!!!
agree!!!!
I can usually get them off by wiggling side-to-side first to unseat the cap.
But if I can't do it by hand, I knock it off the seat with a deadblow hammer then wiggle it off with my hands. It's got shot in the head of the hammer for weight and a non-elastic head so that it won't bounce back like it would if you used a rubber mallet.
