Removing Brake Rotors
i broke 2 sockets trying to get mine off a few years back so i finally bit the bullet and brought it in to a mechanic who had better tools. those things are a bitch to get off. yup - torque wrench.
ok I had a hell of a time taking those 2 screws out also. I stripped the first screw and i thought that i was screwwed, but then i got an idea. Take a drill and make sure that you use a bit which is made for metal. Next drill into the head of the screw a little and actuallt try to mess it up. Then take a flat head screw driver and try to make a notch on the outside of the screw head. After about 5 min of tinkering the screw will start to spin and it will come out. repeat to all screws and there you go. The reason why i didnt care if i messed up the screws wasbecause i was getting new ones already with my new rotors. If you still need help on them just reply to this message.
Put some penetrating oil on the screws like Liquid-Wrench or PB Blaster. Buy a hand impact wrench $15-$20 best money you'll ever spend if you work on cars and bikes. Looks like this

You need a gear puller man. From any auto parts store you can get this from. Its got like three claws on it and connected to the three claws you've got a big bolt the unscrews the hub off pretty much. You just keep turning the long bolt and eventually the hub will pop off. Be patient it will pop off. Just use the outer end of the axle to post the bolt and the three claws on the outer edge of the roter evenly. You dont need to pop it back on when you assemble everything back on it will do that on its own.
OK, if I get this tool to pop it off. How do tighten them after. I assme it has to be the same tightness?
BTW. I am trying to remove the brake pad clamps off first. This is the hard part. The bolt are facing away from me towards the inside of the car.

use an impact wrench thats how to get it off, borrow a friends or rent one or buy one but thats just about the safest and best way to do it
don't use a slide hammer, it will destroy your wheel bearings
just take off the hub assembly and bring into a machine shop for them to swap out the old ones with the new.....personally, its just not worth doing it yourself
should only cost like 20-30 bux
