i wanna build up my bottom end to handle boost, but i dont think i wanna do an lsvtec. maybe just strengthen the head a little to handle higher rpms, but just curious what rpm does power peak at for b18b? tia for any info.

 

they start to drop off in power around 6100-6200rpm....stock.

 

the 94+ LS makes peak power at 6300rpm........but every engine differs so some might be lower or higher.............i would guess between 6200-6500rpm......

accualy on the dyno my LS made peak power at 6000rpm

 

was that with yor 403s? if i remember you had the busted cams right?

 

with the 403's i made peak power at 6600rpm with the stock intake manifold........with the ITR manifold i think peak power is around 6900-7000rpm

 

Mine seems to stop making power @5900-6100rpm

nonvtec I was wondering if you could explain what exactly was involved with you fitting the ITR IM on the LS. Did you completely reweld a new flange on or modify the existing flange? TIA

 

boost on your b18 b like me and make power all the way to 6800.........yea......

 

with a built valvetrain, i'm hoping to make power up to 9000 rpm and from the stock figures, power drops off at 5800 i believe.

 

i am boosted, but i feel like power kinda stops rising at ~6500, which kinda sucks cuz i dont get full boost until ~3900.

 

i made peak power at 6300 and from there it was down hill. even with boost.
