im looking at a 1999 honda civic cx with A/C and 80k miles on the odo. the owner is an old lady who wants to get rid of it cuz it's a 5-speed. she wants $5k for it. i need your help

Whats KBB on it? If you just need a car and your fine with paying that then get it.

 

kbb is like around $4500. im cheap and want it cheaper that kbb. this lady is old, she doesn't even know kbb

 

Then talk her down to your liking. If she doesnt want to sell for your price then move on.

 

Thats a decent price, i'd offer her $4200, shed probably take it.

5k isn't bad but that is kbb for good condition.

 

Well, considering I paid $9K for my 97 hb when it had 68K miles on it, this is a steal. I was young and stupid back then. I'd say it's worth around $4K .

I'd honestly buy it. That's a fairly nice, fairly new car as long as the body is straight and you're not in a climate where it's going to be all rusted out.

Considering there are 5th gens, and shells giong for way more than that on here. Id say 5k is a steal

**** i payed 5k for my 96 coupe with 96k on it, 2 years ago.... thats a steal in my opinion, especially if the body is in great condition!

 

I paid 7k can for my 97 cx with same milleage. 65km I tought It was a great bargain but the motors sucks 1.6 8valves with 115 hp and no torque at all. It brings me from A to B. Next car will be a TurrrboDI.

i payed 5400 for my 98 DX hatch with 62k, yours doesnt sound like too bad a deal at all.
