buying a 96 ls teg... need opinions!
There's a local 1996 LS for sale with 83k miles, tan cloth interior, bone stock, never been modded. He's got all the 90k mile tune up parts (timing belt, water pump, etc) that he'll throw in as well. I'm thinking about ditching my sohc civic (
) for this. The front bumper has some bad oxidation on it but the rest of the body is straight. He's asking $6200 nego. for it.
Is this a pretty fair price? Give me some ideas of what I should offer him ($5500?) Should I hold out and wait for a GSR? I don't have much more than $6000 to spend, but I do have a turbo kit on the way for my sohc. I'd change out the mani and turbo and boost the b18b. I could sell the kit and wait for a GSR... Opinions?
Mods sorry if this isn't the right place for this type of question. Ive never posted in the teg forum

yeah, I'm shoppin for one too and 5-5500 would be about right. I've found gsr's with 120k'ish miles for around 6 so if you don't need a car right away I'd say keep shopping, you'll save money in the long run with a gsr, plus it will run smoother than swapping and converting stuff which I realized with my last car. Good luck though!
well if you are actually in the 919 area like your profile says I have found a nice gsr in charelston sc for only 3500. its got 120k or more on it. just look at autotrader.com cause thats where i found it.
wait for GSR
