Dropping rear of car?
Ok the *** of my car isnt doing n e thing for me. It sits higher than the front end and well I just dont like it. Is there a do it yourself RIGHT WAY of slamming the *** of my car? Like can I put new springs or coilovers to lower it about 2-3 inches? The cheaper the better also. (imma rookie at this too) Thanks in advance!
Is your car lowered with springs/coilovers already? Did you put the correct ones on the right side? (i.e.: Longer/taller springs go on the front, shorter ones go on the rear).
I don't understand what you're asking. Of course you can put in new springs/coilovers to lower the car as much as you want. You want to just lower the rear? That would look pretty strange.
One more question, what is your definition of cheap? $1 $10? $100? $1000?

my car is at stock height. I havent put n e new springs in. The end of my car sits higher than the front end of the car at STOCK HEIGHT. It runs at a downward angle from back to front. I want to drop the *** like an inch or two. Nothing too drastic. And when I mean cheap... I mean the lower the cost the better. Nothing more than $100-150? The look I want is just to minimize the space between my tire and wheel well... but not too drop it too much where I bottom out at every speed bump. Thats all. get what I mean now?
if ur gonna be cheap about it then go with ebay coilovers because quality coilovers u will not be able to afford with that budget
or get h&r springs for like 150ish.
its up to you, btw you should look into shocks too if ur planning to lower your car around 2inchs

Cheap? that sounds familiar. thats how i started. hey i recomend going with some tein springs (correct way to pronounce it is T. YEN not T E IN ), well anyway this things are expensive as hell, so go to ebay and buy ones for like 140 bucks. ive gone through all springs and there grandmothers, but those are the best for me. i think they come in 1.75 drop and 1.5 i might be wrong. and all you need is a 17 socket a wratchet and a 17 wrench. and if you gonna do it by your self with no spring compressor "CHEAP" around 4 hrs worth of up and down car time. oh yeah and youll need pressure pliers and allen wrench set
thanks.... thats all i needed to know. Ive got plenty of friends that have those tools to do the work, plus theyve dropped their cars before. good info guys!

It should not be that much of a difference. If you lower the rear 1"-2" without changing the front, it will look like the rear of your car is sagging all the time, or like you're carrying a huge load of stuff in the back all the time, i.e. it will look ghetto as hell.
Here is my car when it was stock height, as you can see it looks pretty even front to back:

ok... maybe im not communicating my idea clear enough... i just wanna get it level with the front. I dont want the saggy look. my problem is that is the *** of my car isnt doing n e thing for me. However, should I get a whole new spring kit, of course ill lower the whole car. its just that my car in the rear is like over a foot high off the ground whereas my front end is like 7-8 inches off (maybe lower). It looks good in the front, but too high in the end. Relax im not out to "ghetto-fy" my teg. LoL My deal is that I can practically see the whole underside of my car through the rear. Im actually getting a new bumper kit as well. I'll install that first and see how it looks. If it needs a drop after that THEN ill give it one. But thank all of you for the advice and tips. Really does come in handy

Are you sure you don't have something wrong with your suspension? Look at my pic of my car on stock suspension, it's not really any difference between front and back like what you're describing. Can you take a pic of your car how it is right now and post it?
You're not talking about the distance of the front bumper overhang to the ground, and the rear bumper overhang to the ground are you? If so, the rear is always going to have more clearance, unless you add some kind of rear valence or lip.
The gap above the tires should be pretty much the same front and back on stock suspension, around a 2-3" gap. Is yours not even?
