Default Quarter Panel Patches???

I am getting the rust on my car fixed in the next few weeks and i was wondering if there are patches out there for the rear quarter panels and around that area that people know of or use!?

not sure how far you are away but if your talking about a hatch i have a 91 hb shell with no rot or rust. great if you wan to cut the 1/4s right out and weld them on to your car. i will let it go cheap if your interested. im in ct

I brought my car to a body shop they cut out the rust and used sheet metal to patch the quarter it came out mint and doesnt have 10 tons of bondo....I will pm you with the place that did mine for a good price I am local

do you mind posting some before and after pics If you have any, and the price if you don't mind. I'm sure this what everyone in the northeast is thinking of doing at some point. I was going to try it myself, but if it's not terribly expensive, i'll let a pro take a crack at it.......I don't have much rust ........yet.

I will try and get some pics up but I dont have access to a scanner I will have a friend get them up for me asap....The guy is a close friend of mine so he gave me a good price of 250 for both sides and he blended the quarters they came out MINT my rust was not too bad though so I assume he would charge more or less depending on the extent of your rust.......

You've got a hatch....then they've got panels for you. They are cheap too, like $80 bucks/panel....so you're looking at $160...maybe $200 after shipping. I've got a couple bookmarked...LMK if you want the links.

I'm assuming you cut yours off a donor car? Nice work BTW...what type of welder were you using, MIG?

mig and made the patches out of sheet metal. did this with a bodyman because body work is HARD AS HELL but that is how it is properly done

Wow....that's incredible. I've seen it done many times with replacement panels, but to take a flat sheet and create the proper curves and lip...that had to be tough!
