Need an exhaust, and some other advice
Hey people...
I have a d15b7 in my EG8. I want to swap in a EX motor in the summer I guess for more power, and vtec would be a nice addittion too. But my stock exhaust is being gay. Guy at the muffler shop pointed out the joint where the short pipe connects to the muffler and how it is rusted and may not last till summer. Hard to believe for me but anyway, I want to know if I put on some type of full exhaust system now will it cause my problems later as far as if I switch to an EX motor, or even a *b-series. Will I have to scrap part of the exhaust?
* I said D-series originally becuase I won't have much money, but a friend of mine said if I wanted a B-series I could buy a wrecked Integra and take teh engine out of it, do a rear disk conversion and part out the rest... said thats what he's going to do. Solid idea or what?

the integra idea is a good idea, thats what id do if i wasnt just gonna buy the engine swap from hmo. and yes, youll be able to keep the exhaust, youll just have to take it to a muffler shop and get a little peice made to get it to connect right
As far as this exhaust, right now... I need to get, would it be different for a EG8 Sedan than for a Coup, or Hatchback? Cause I have the Sedan. I want something for performance more than sound but I don't want it lould.
The motor bolts to the cat, so the exhaust from the cat-back will have no effect on what motor you have.

Thats only the 92-95 VX/CX and the 96-00 D16Y7/D16Y5, the 92-95 DX, LX, EX sedans all share the same exhaust.

With the Cat being the Catylic converter, a catback exhaust is one where the exhaust system being sold starts after the Catylic convert and goes on from there, right?
