new member, new civic, NEED HELP!
i recently purchased a 99 civic si, 2dr and it came with neuspeed ceramic headers, an injen cold air intake, and a view other performance and visual goodies. it has now come time for me to finish (or at least 'start' finishing) where my friend left off. I am considering buying the exhaust posted here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...63408
I am new to the civic world and am slowly learning about my car. What i would like to know is if this eshaust is for me. i would like a nice car, but i want it faster than nicer. is this exhaust performance ready or just for show and noise? i have posted in other forums and they sent me here. don't let me down
my car also has suspension done, has 56k miles, and being my first stick shift car its a welcome change from my 63 1/2 merc comet
thanks

thanks. although i did meet a friend with a shop and i have decided to go custom install. now im looking for advice on what to look for. i mean my mech knows what he is doing but is there something i should ask for, certain sizes of anything..things to avoid, and any perks i might overlook in a custom exhaust installation. thanks to everybody with something useful to say.
ps: if you dont like the sound of a straightpipe. ride a bike

An exhaust can only do so much
Yeah it will give you a lil bit more power but nothing too noticable
If you want to get some more power and stay NA id suggst getting some cams
Depending on your budget you could get something as cheap as some ITR cams or if you have a big budget you can redo the whole valve train and get some Jun 3 cams and new springs and retainers

well there is nothing i want more than to turbocharg my civic. problem is right now, i know too little about my car. new job makes it easy to work on car, but harder to find time to learn how. i think i have stumbled on something good here, tho. looking forward to meeting more of the techies.
