Zc tranny in a b16 block

Default Zc tranny in a b16 block

hi i have a ZC doch 2nd generation engine with tranny but i want to make a b16 swap i want to know if the my tranny will fit in to the b16 thanks

No it will not work. A d series trans will not bolt up to a b series block and vice versa.

d series??? so my zc if a d series just like the zc soch that come in the CRX i believe that my zc doch jdm block is the same as b16 the only difference was the headblock how i can know that my zc is a d series because the serial number in the block dont say d15 or d16 only say number like this

2215485 ect?? actually the guys who sold me the engine tell that the tranny was of a honda civic si 99 so is this possible???

The ZC is a dseries. If you don't believe me try searching on here and you will find plenty of info on it. It came out of the jdm 88-91 civic/crx si.

No.
ZC = D series

it is very close to the d16a1/a8 and a9

You will need a b series tranny.

ok thanks for the help i got it just 1 more question i want to do the swaap of a b16 engine to my civic hatchback what i need for the engine to bolt in my civic???

also an si throttle cable and HCP converting bar (look on ebay) OR 90-91 integra throttle cable and other MPFI stuff if you do not have it

I don't think you can get ANY tranny to fit INSIDE any block.

yep dohc zc tranny is from d series

you need axles, motor, tranny, ecu, shiftlinkage, and mounts.
