Default low dyno #'s

Hey guys seems like my car is having low dyno numbers for the mods I have. I did a compression check and it read 250-260 all across. Is there anything else I could check to see if my motor is ok?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by athoughts &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">what are you running.. ? </TD></TR></TABLE> yeah that would help a tad.

191whp? dude thats pretty damn good. I'd say you could probably use some head work, plus sometimes all the stuff just doesn't harmonize, you might just play with different headers or try something a little different like some different cams, once evrything is working in harmony, the power can be realized.

Word. If it's not tuned yet, then you've got some room to gain. What type of dyno was this on? Do you have pictures of the dyno itself (before and after)?

Oh guys I think I might have found the problem
so I was cruising on my way to a freidns on the freeway and the car dies. After about 2hrs with tow truck and 30 min getting home I found that the distributor rotor fell off!

My set up has high compressions valves and a milled head
the only other head work I have besides the springs and retainers is the IM port matched to the head
My list O mods says this information above
I am going to scan my most recent graph today

Seems a bit low since the graph is in STD and not SAE. If it was SAE the numbers would be a bit lower.

UMMMMMMM it says that your motor was a 2.1 litre when you hit those numbers so you had QUITE a bit more done then you are leading everyone to beleive.

My bad from that post that you showed the dyno it said that it was a 2.1 litre though the numbers that were posted was the 191/132.

What kind of tuning was done when you hit those #'s and what type of dyno?? If I remember correctly it was STD too right?? I think I have the graph somewhere on my home computer(at work now) as I save alot of the graphs to evaluate.

They are not that low, you are right about where you should be. You have intake, header, exhaust, and cams. Sounds about right to me.

your numbers are fine.. you could use higher compression and a valve job.. and a better header. your car is running healthy. curves look good
