They are both essentially the same, with the exception of lethar seats in the GS. Both have the B18B engine, same tranny. It's your choice if you want to fry your **** in the summer and freeze your **** off in the winter, or just be comefortable. Personally, I don't like the lethar because it's too slippery, and I don't like sliding off my seat when I turn a corner.
LS is easier to find. other than that, get what you can that's in nice shape. unless you're looking for a beater, that is.

my guess would be that its the lower version of the GSR- Grand Series Racing. just difference is the motor but i dunno know if thats the real answer

My insurance company (esurance) told me there is no difference in price for insurance from my LS to a GSR. Not to steal your post, but that takes insurance out of the equation.
Just my 2 cents...

I agree. I think people exaggerate the differences in insurance premiums. Just because one has vtec and the other doesn't ain't gonna change much. If anything it's gonna be a $100 at most due to the gsr's higher value.
Cars like the impreza have big differences in insurance premiums between models because of the big HP difference.

If it's an Integra, it'll get stolen either way. I went from a GS to a GS-R and my insurance dropped $50. Possibly because I got a top of a line alarm + I took some driving course(required for work). so I pay $150 a month for my 98 gs-r
buy what you can afford, and what you can find that hasn't been ragged to ****. i sold my 99 Eclipse GST to get a 97 GSR that was ragged to **** and a month after i got it (and i drove it sanely) the motor let loose. spun a rod bearing, so now i have a GSR thats LS powered anyways. just get an LS thats stock so you know it hasnt been abused.
