Weird stumbling at 2K RPM while slowing down in first..

Weird stumbling at 2K RPM while slowing down in first..
Brief car specs:
96 DX D16Y7 motor
I/H/E
Edelbrock Intake Mani w/ Y7 TB
CM stage 3
Was auto, now manual using stock auto DX ecu
everything else is stock..
When im in first and lets say i accel to move a bit... when i let off and it gets to 2K my car kinda stumbles the rpms jump up and down real quick for like 2 seconds but you feel the car shake... Anyone have any ideas what is causing this..?
