Default What's the difference btwn 94-97 & 98-01?

I am going to get a 94-97 teg, and I want to have a lip on it, but would it make much difference btwn a 94-97 bumper w/ type r lip and a 98-01 bumper w/ type r lip? This is going to be my 1st Teg ever, so any advice would be great.

the overall look of the 98-01 bumpers are in my opinion better then the 94-97. It is an added expense if you are already getting the 94-97 but it does look nicer

If you get a '94-'97 car, then want to change to '98+ front bumper, you'll also have to buy '98+ headlights. That just makes it more expensive to make the change.

Does anyone have a 94-97 front and 98-01 front pictures side to side. I would like to see the ultimate look difference.

In my opinion, the 94-97 fronts look a bit more aggressive. Maybe it's the inner grill that gives it that stance... But I've seen a lot of DC's that have the 94-97 front with the black lip and yellow fogs and honestly, they look hot. However, the 98-01 fronts are more cleaner and less "messy"; in general, they're a more clean look. If I had to choose a front, I'd stick with the 98-01 front with the ITR lip. But any front on a DC looks good... as long as you keep the stock bumper with a lip... and a ITR lip for that matter...

yeah, you can get an ABS plastic lip off ebay for like <$100. that's where i got mine. fitment wasn't perfect, but i made it okay. little snip-snip and it was fine. does its purpose - sends more air around the car and less under.

94-97 bumpers look very dated - the newer 98+ are so much nicer!

what do you all need for the swap from a usdm 94-97 front end to a 98-01 bumper. If i get the bumper and headlights will all the other body lines be straight and look clean

aw man, the slanted sides of the bumper opening on 98-01 fronts looks tons more aggressive IMHO than just the rectangular opening of the 94-97's. Also the 94-97 front bumper is a 2-piece design, while 98-01 is just one piece, making it alot cleaner.

My 94 GS-R w/ 2000 front end:

the fenders, hood, and radiator/bumper support are all the same, so that means it bolts right up. The only problem is the fender liners, I have to use zip ties because there's no place for the screw on my 94 fender lines to attach to the 2000 bumper.

Thanks guys for the input, I guess I'll keep looking for the 98+ bumper and headlights, if I can't find it and I run out of patience, then I'll just stick the lip on the 94-97 bumper. Thanx again.

dont buy a car just because of the body style, consider what kind of money you want to spend, what you can find to buy thats what you're looking for, etc. you would be better off getting a car in the color, year, mileage, options, etc, that you want, instead of getting a car thats the wrong color and not really what you want, just because its 98+. you can always convert to the newer front end, go with a JDM front end conversion, or there are TONS of other things you can do to make your integra look unique. integras are one of the most widely moded cars and they make TONS of parts for it. body kit front ends, lip kits, JDM, etc. buy a car you like not based on the year since the 98+ isnt that much different, but based on the fact that you like the car and it suits your needs and fits your budget.

$20 Buy It Now, plus $66 to ship

Bolivian's front lip is either 97 ITR, or a replica.
