My friends got a ds 1.5 non vtec (roughly 105 hp), aem cold air intake, full 2.5 exhaust/muffler, neuspeed header, jackson racing supercharger(stock boost), ngk plugs/wires ...

Were installing the supercharger in a couple weeks, just curious.

Go to a dyno and find out. Not a whole lot. Maybe 150ish.

 

Not gonna make great power, but definantly an improvement from stock.

Why spend that money on a 1.5?

To each his own I guess.

I think you're being too generous.

I say 135whp.

Heres a dyno from jacksons site....its for a 96 cx/dx/lx which is pretty comparable to his motor.....

The cars getting mini-me'd in early spring, its in storage now until winters over. It will probably only be driven a few times without the mini me. Hes not looking to make an extremely fast car, just all around good performing one.

Well, that'd do it. It'd be fast enough to hold it's own if he can drive.

The question wasn't directed torwards anyone. And I know there are a lot of fast D series around. Just takes a little more money and work to make them fast.

 

if that car made 130ish w/ stock header/exhaust, I'd say between 140-150 could be possible if it was tuned well. But it's anyones guess as it all depends on teh condition of the engine, teh tuning, the dyno, the temperature.

Wow that dyno is weaksauce. I expected to see more also. How many lbs r they pushing? I expected way more tq... for a Honda atleast.

 

Dyno'd a stock 91' DX w/149k miles

47 whp 71 tq @ 4500rpm

just a note...saying " a d16 1.6l sohc engine" is rather redundant...d16 implies 1.6l SOHC

 

sry but i think this is a downgrade. used the same money for the supercharge and bought a swap and you would have made more power the swap. jus my two cents though....

goto the track and try to get some 90mph trap speeds. thats good for 130+whp

Sorry, not everyone is on the b-series bandwagon. Im building my d16 up in pieces right now, in fact. Sorry.

Oh noes he should've just done a swap, those jackson superchargers are really expensive. A motor swap would've been such a better route. IMO a couple grand to have 130whp isn't much of a investment.

 

Well... you don't have to have a bseries to have a swap. My turboed A6/Z6 minime makes plenty of power and it was MUCH cheaper than a B
