Default How to remove A/C in 97 Accord for TURBO

Just what the title says. I am running a ramhorn style mani and for the downpipe to work I have to take out the A/C. I searched for a long time and ended up with no results. I'm sure I can do it if it is all bolts and if it is all the stuff that I see. Are there any hidden stuff that I have to take out. I really wanna do it in one day. Is there a DIY on how to take it out?? Ane help is appreciated!!!

hey dude i removed mine last night it took me prolly 45 minutes or so.What i did was unscrewed the front grill on the car un bolted the 4 screws that the AC radiator is connected too, unscrewed all AC lines and then as i was unscreweing all the bolts for the radiator and everything the AC leaked all he **** inside of it.Then i unbolted the radiator supports and lifted the radiator and pushed out the AC radiator out ,doing this the top metal peiece on the radiator will come off then you will be able to remove it and bolt your radiator back on.Then i just started unbolting things.Be careful removeing the hard lines from the ac to the radiator is scared the **** out of me and step back cause all this white **** will come out and stinks like hell.I then removed all the ac lines and started to unbolt the AC compressor, keep in mind you will have to remove the alternator to remove the bracket and the AC compressor.Hope this helps i can proveide pics if you would like.

ya, that white stuff causes cancer and eats away the ozone. actually, it can kill you instantly if you suck in too much of it. your supposed to have the lines drained at pep boys or something before you mess with AC lines. you can go to jail for stupid stuff like that.

I see that you don't have your battery. Do you have any write ups for how to remove the battery. Cause I am buying a kit but would like to see how other people did it!!

You can get the Alt belt at any auto parts store. When they ask you what kind of car and all that stuff just tell them that you need the belt for non AC accords. It'll run you about 17 bucks.
