Default civic oil pans

anybody knows if a y7 oil pan can be replaced by a y8 oil pan? i read somewhere that all d-series oil pans are similar to each other. so i just want to get it straight out into the open. some say it wont fit, while others claim it will. i just an answer from someone who's tried it already.

thanks

Yes it can...when I did my turbo setup I bought an already tapped y8 pan....even though I had a y8 in my del sol for some reason honda cheaped out and put y7 pans on the y8s in del sols. you'll have to get a new oil pan gasket tho specifically for the y8 cause they have different gaskets.
