Default Some updated pics of my winter progress

We got a warm day, and I decided to capitalize. I got my intercooler pipes painted and installed, and got the valve cover repainted.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Carbon fiber wire cover -

I also managed to recover my center console...it was looking kinda bad - a little stained, worn, and faded. Now it looks great

Here are some more pics of my car in it's "progress" state

That's it for now. Before the snow melts I'm getting a 3" turbo back exhaust coupled to a Magnaflow muffler that should give a more "stock" look...getting retuned, and a few other small additions to try to polish it off before the season starts again (I'm in MI).

Awww, I liked the white valve cover Haha, but I guess you gotta change it up a little. Nice car, good luck with the "progress."

The white was nice, but I found that it got dirty WAY too easily, and was impossible to clean. Thanks for the comments! I always like getting feedback...of any kind.

Car looks awesome. How did you pull off the purple gauges and needles? Where did you get the halo lights, and how much did they run you?

Gauges:
the gauges are completely stock - just took out the cluster and replaced the bulbs with red bulbs. Simple mod, but really made everything look a lot nicer inside. I tried using LEDs, but they were too dim...I found the regular colored bulbs work the best.

Valve cover:
Yup. 100% diy. Take a product called "aircraft remover" to take the paint off. Spray it on, let it sit, and rinse the paint off...then take a wire brush to get the rest off. Then I painted a few layers of a high temperature aluminum colored spray paint (as a base coat). Then a few layers of the color of your choice (I used a dark silver metallic color). Then a few layers of a high temperature clear coat. I then put it in an OPEN 200* oven for about 30 minutes...make sure the vent is on. This will help the high temperature paint set a little better (esp. the clear coat...it's tacky until it's completely set). Then I let it sit overnight and installed it the following day

Headlights:
I got them off of Ebay. They cost around $180 for the set. Really simple install...just wire the halo light wires to the pos/neg wires to the 1157 bulb in the corner lamp.
