Default I want to know about suspension.

Ok if you guys don't mind assume that I'm a complete idiot about suspension. I was wondering if you could explain the differences between the different types that are avaible for our cars and how they work. I would also like to know what is the difference between coilovers and true coilovers? Thanks in advance.

true coilovers the shock has a treaded body which the adjuster is on
the other coilovers are kits that go over the shock
groud controls are kits

and these are true coilovers

Ground Controls are the probably the best things for the money out there..
They work extremely well with Koni adjustable shocks. A lot of racers use Ground Control Kits. You can get different spring rates depending on your application.
For example a daily driver that never races on a track or autocross will get different springs than the person who only races is his car on the track and doesn't drive it on the street.

We have "true" coilovers from the factory. The coil goes over the spring, not next to it like some setups. A coilover is a coilover. Sleeved coilovers make it easier to service the shock. Some people don't like sleeves because they associate sleeves with springs that can unseat. If the springs unseat, they seat back rather quickly, and if the very rare pop noise freaks you out, then you can always get a tender spring to keep the spring seated.

Some people are obsessed that if the threads aren't part of the shock body then it isn't a real coilover. That makes no sense.
