motor idling weird with p08......

Default motor idling weird with p08......

swapped the cx motor for a d15bvtec and motor idles weird cold,but when it warms up it is fine, this only happens when i use the p08 ecu but works fine with the p06 cold or warm....help me out with this guys...

wait a sec..
do you have a CX or DX civic? 'cuz if you have a P06 ecu, that denotes a DX ecu. IF you do own a CX, what engine wire harness are you using on your D15 engine.

also, is your D15 a JDM SOHC VTEC (VTi) engine?

i got a cx my bad so its a p05...im using a ex harness and yea its a jdm sohc vtec...but it only idles when i use the p08 ecu..... but when i use the p05 ecu it runs fine....might be something wrong with the p08 unless anyone has suggestions

ok, that makes better sense.
My concern is that if you own a CX and reused the CX engine harness on your VTi engine, you'd have a 02 problem, since CX's & P05 ecu's look for a single wire 02 sensor; reading that you're using an EX harness clears that problem up.

As for the P08 ecu, is it throwing any check engine lights at you? or just idling like crap?

nah it doesnt show an cel lights...just idles like ****.....but as for the harness, i used my old cx harness before on the swap, it also idled crappy with the p08...so i switched harnesses and the problem is still there....so i think its just a bad p08
