type r related becaus im selling a "type" r (after my bitching)


well today after coming home from church, i parkd infront of my dads side of the garage, open the garage door, go into the house, come down and hour later and what do i find????

a missing fully built b16 turbo motor from my ******* bench in the garage, head and bottom end gone!

i was planning on selling that and paying off a portion of my 5000 dollar debt, but now it doesnt look like that is going to happen


i knwo i got some positive coments on this car previousley in this forum so im just posting a link incase any of you guys have an extra 10g's laying around for a beater

well im shooting for 10, the 11k is for lowballers,
do you think 10 is a good price? the car is very well put together and has alot of highdollar stuff on it

not if there is going to be a deductible and raised cost becaus then it will cost more in the long run, plus i dont have any written anything about the motor just pictures of what was all included, im going to go file a report tomorrow

I find it hard to believe unless you live in ghetto or next to one...


If I were you I would ask your Ins Broker that supplied you with home-owner's Ins what the deal is with claiming that, you might not have any repercussion.

What can it hurt to ask???

That is horrible. Horrible. Some one definately knew about you building that engine. That's just plain shitty.

I too am going to agree with the others and tell you to look into the home owners insurance. Generally all you really need to make a claim is pictures. The adjuster will also talk to your parents about it to get an idea of what exactly it was. Despite the fact that this engine cost a bit of money, remember that is what insurance is for and if my mind isn't playing games with me right now, I think it may be illegal for ANY insurance company to raise your rates when you make a claim. Remember that's why you have it in the first place.

Don't let this **** deter you from you goals. Perhaps this is some kind of sign telling you to do the engine even better this time That is definately how I would look at this situation.

it just seems like now i dont have a place to start though

all i want is to trade my car for a stock black 99 four door, put my 5lug and coilovers on the d16y7, a si lip and grill, and call it a day, maybe some type r front/rear seats and pay off my car ofcourse

 

Since your talented with engines, why not invest it all into a sleeper. That would be great! Just think of pulling up to some bloke in a new camero or something and your in like a forest green four door with stock honda hub caps....oh the possibilities

Seriously though. Get through this insurance nonsense first, then you can focus on where to start. One step at a time young grasshopper
