Default SCCA Solo2 classing for my 00' EM1

I've been reading through the 2005 SCCA Solo rulebook
(http://www.scca.org/_filelibrary/File/2005SoloRules.pdf) this evening and trying to find out what class my 00' Civic cdn spec EM1 should be in.

Here is the mod list of my Civic SiR:
Engine:
- 70mm Tapered ITR throttle body(stock throttle plate)
- K&N in-box filter
- NGK iridium replacement plugs & replacement plug wires
- ITR 2-1 downpipe with T1R testpipe, stock b-pipe and SPOON N1 muffler

Drivetrain:
- Excedy full face organic clutch
- SPOON flywheel
- 98specR 4.785 final gear set
- ITR shift linkages with short shifter

Suspension:
- SPOON front and rear strut tower bar
- SRR rear sway bar with lower arm bar
- ZEAL B6 coilovers
- 15x7" +45mm offset Kosei K1 w/ Kumho Ecsta V700 205/50R15

Interior:
- MoMo 350mm non-SRS steering wheel
- SRR 50mm steering wheel spacer
- Passenger side airbag in place but I dun think it's working?
- Recaro SPG w/out harness(yea I know I shouldn't do this)

So far I THINK I am in Street Mod since I have a bigger final gear?I really wonder if I am legal to run in D/SP. Regarding to 15.10 (P) section it saids LSDs are permitted. However, I am still not sure

1)if I can change my final gears or not in SP?

2)if the ITR throttle body will affect at all?

Would anyone mind to help me out on this? I wanna go more autocrossing more to practice while run my car legally.

Any help would be appreciate, Tks a lot in advance!

Well, your car is definitely illegal for stock (duh), and the street touring classes (r-compounds). It is further eliminated from Prepared by virtue of the non-stock throttle body bore.

Street Prepared notes 15.10.C, "Carburetors, fuel injection, intercoolers and intake manifolds are unrestricted." This seems to indicate the throttle body is legal. However, nowhere does it state that the transmission may be modified (beyond adding a limited slip). Therefore, the final drive is illegal.

Why you must run a stock bore throttle body in Prepared, yet have unrestricted transmission modifications, is beyond me. It looks like your only options are the free for-all-Mod classes (e.g. Street Mod).

Thanks a lot for your advice.

So u meant that SP is unrestricted on tranny mods?

Also that only DOT R-compounds are allowed in SP or SM? It's the first year we run the SCCA rule up here in Vancouver, BC so I'm very new to this.

Pls help, TKS!

I agree, the final drive looks like the threshold part bumping you out of Street Prepared into Street Mod.

EtherGhost was referring to the "Prepared" class, not "Street Prepared", with regards to the transmission allowances.

DOT-R compounds are legal for: Stock, Street Prepared, and Street Mod. And if you wanted to do the knife to a gunfight thing, they are also technically legal for Prepard and Modified. They would be illegal for the Street Touring classes (STS, STS2, STX, and STU).

The flywheel definitley puts you in Street Mod. A CF Hood would do the same. Those to mods pWn3d me class-wise.

Doesn't the car have to be emissions legal to be in SM? He's using a test pipe.

Yeah coz when they're using CACC rules last year in here. I think ANY tranny mods bumps me into D/SP. Same class with an fully auto-x prepped AE86 running 13x8 rims and hoosier slicks etc.

My 1270kg POS got own3d REAL BAD.

Btw here is the mod on brakes:

- Slotted Brembo rotors front and rear(legal in SM)
- Project U B-spec pads front
- HAWK HPS pads rear
- Earl's SS brake lines

I have to find out if I can run Integra GS/GSR front calipers & 1" ITR/Lude/Accord master cylinder & brake booster in SM though.

I've been using the Project U BESTOP before and Bspec pads right now. I like them wayyyyyyyy better than Endless SSS on the street and autocross. Initial bite is really good even in low temperature. But not very enough for hard braking when I went for HPDE last year.

Great, I will see the condition of my friend's 1715 ITR setup I guess. Gotta measure how much meat's left on his Tarox G88 rotors & the Ferodo pads. Need better brakes for lapping events.
