I noticed something today......
While driving at constant speed, 25, 35,45 or so, doesn't matter what gear I am in, all of a sudden the car will decelerate slightly, it feels like i just lifted my foot off the pedal a tiny tiny bit, like to slow down from 35-30 or something. BUT infact, foot is in same position. I have been noticing this more and more recently.
Whats up?

hmmm. Hard to diagnose over the int3rw3b.
hrm..
Does your idle fluctuate? Does the rpms fluctuate when you try to hold the revs at a certain rpm when in neutral?

No, nothing like that. Revs stay constant while in neutral and foot on the pedal. No CEL's either.
I am thinking TPS perhaps or an elctrical problem.
EDIT: idle dies out to where car stalls if it is REAL cold out, and its the first time its started, but after 2 mins, even with engine temp below "C" the car will idle fine and not stall, its just that first minute or so.

i have no clue what to tell you, TPS maybe, map sensor could have trouble seeing manifold pressure, could be a multitude of things.
man, i hear ya- mine has the same problem- but mines worse
as soon as i start mine it sticks up at 2000 rpm and slowly comes down as the car heats up- then for like the next few minutes the car wont catch idle it will just shut off when i engage the clutch and it drops to idle.. its crazy- am i correct in thinking theres a air/ fuel problem- it also backfires sometimes.. could the injectors be clogged ? or could i have a engine code or something thats making it run lean?

I have that same problem.
I'm thinkin that it might be my pressure plate.. but I also think that it's electrical. I have no CEL's either... no codes.
I don't have the money to start replacing "suspect - parts"... so I'm just dealing with this minor problem for now.
Here's how I'd describe my problem:
In any gear, usually around 2500-3500 rpm, when on the throttle slightly in cruising speeds... my motor seems to "sputter" like it's bogging or something.

I while back, my B18 would throw a MAP sensor code if I held it at like 2700 or so for a couple minutes. What was weird is that it would only do it sometimes (like once every few weeks) and all I would have to do is turn the key off and then turn it back on; the CEL wouldn't appear again for weeks. As of now, it hasn't shown for a couple months.
I have no idea why it did this either. But I know when the MAP sensor did make then engine light come on, there wasn't any loss of power that I could notice. Not saying it would be the same for you. Luckily it kind of just corrected itself LOL

correct me if I am wrong, no map = no vtec.....this may not suit you, but me, it does, since i have sohc vtec motor.
Eitherway, no map code here what so ever, no CEL's period. I have a VAFC2 to monitor the MAP and TPS voltages and i can't ever find anyone to fill me in on what they should be WHILE the car is running

Are you connections to the SAFC soldered in, or are they butt connected together, you may be losing a slight amount of voltage.
Your map sensor will not throw a code unless it sees 0 vacuum when the car is running and the throttle isnt WOT. I seriously think this is a map sensor problem.

O yes, VAFC connections are ALL soldered in. I know all about what doing it with crimp connectors can do.....TROUBLE!!!!!!
Well, as simple as MAP sensor is to replace, perhaps I will try to find one for CHEAP online, ebay, or something.

You may want to try the local yards around you, I know that I see a shitload of wrecked Civics all over the place (gotta love women drivers LOL), I'm not sure what the pricing would be. Just go to the yard in a non-Honda vehicle and when you go to the counter, ask them how much it is for "this Ford Fiesta sensor" or something.
I have seen some yards who charge more for Honda stuff (?!) so that is what I do. It seems to have worked for me since I have been doing it.
