what the hell does "bump" mean i keep seeing it and it pisses me off. anyone know?

 

any time you make a comment or reply to a post, it puts the post at the top of page one, which makes it easier for more people to see. lets say you have a post in classifieds or something, and you want to keep it on page one rather it being on page 6 or 7, you, or anyone willing to help you "advertise" for lack of better words, "bump" it up to page one. at least thats what i think happens..... hoped this helped...
