You are somewhat correct. The first b16s didnt have dual valvesprings, the 92-on ones did. The 92-on JDM b16s had 10.4:1 compression as well, but i wasnt aware that the DA XSi got these refinements, i thought they were only for the SI-RII?

There are alot.
88-91 b16 had 158hp, 10.2:1 pr3 pistons
92-on had dual exhaust VS, ?p29? pistons and yielded 10.4:1
then theres the b16b <-- best b16 evAr.
Then theres the USDM b16s with all there numbers. USDMs were all 158 hp with pr3 pistons (10.2:1) but had the dual VS.
blah.

So that would be something like this then?
the SiR-I B16a 158 hp
the SiR-II B16(a?) 160 hp
the XSi B16a (168 hp?)
the Type R B16B 170 hp
the Del Sol Si B16(a?) 158 hp
the '99,'00 Si B16(a?) 158 hp
fill in the '?' LOL I don't know much about the B16's at all.

fixed it for ya. JDM engines dont have numbers after the engine code.
They are regular b16. The only difference when ordering the $1200 swap will be the tranny difference from the Si-R to the XSi.
Otherwise the 92 integra swaps are rare because the DC2 came out in 1993 there. You catch what im sayin?
Just get the XSi cable 1st gen swap.
that's what i have....
The XSI motor OBD 0, just plugged it in to the Pw0, wired vtec and off we went...
168hp....maybe...but everyone keep screaming "be lucky if you dyno 150 at the wheels.." so i said **** it and went with the b16a outta the xsi. I got a ys-1 gsr lsd factory tranny with it....so i'm stoked.
XSI
ys-1 Gsr LSD
90 hf
couldn't ask for a better project starter.....go for the b16a.
