so are my tires ruined now?
will my tires still hold air? my uncle dismounted the azenis from a 5.5 rim and tore some of the inner part of the tire from two of the tires...the rim mounts right below the "falken" sign..but will air now escape from the tires?

still good
It will hold air even at track conditions.
don't worry about it.
Make sure to use the gummy stuff around the contact points before mounting.

When NTB unmounted all 4 tires from my mom's SUV, then realized that they didn't have the new tires in stock, they remounted all 4 old tires, including one that looked just like that. Since my mom, and her car, are still in one piece, I'd say it's safe for you
I fucked up the bead of one of my azeni's pretty bad when I was putting it on, and globbed some glue in there. Had a hell of a time seating the bead, I was about to give up when I finally got it thank god. But I never had a problem with it.

They're fine, my boss was mounting some Yokohama Race rubber for one of our drivers last week...and the same thing happened...tires failed....but it wasn't because of that...I know this is Arizona and it's really warm pretty much year round...but you should really stop and realize that it STILL get's a bit chilly in the morning...first session out and the track is cold...you don't need to go ***** out man!
Yeah you're fine.
Yeah you're fine.
I guess I get to give the differing opinion...
I had a Toyo RA1 with similar damage mounted for use on my former race car and it failed in a big way. Approaching turn 8 at Willow Springs the tire deflated instantly and I was lucky enough to scrub off enough speed so that when I went off I was able to maintain enough control to prevent a serious crash.
My first thought was that I must have run over debris. How else could a tire deflate instantly? Once back in the paddock I realized the failed tire was the one with the damage. Sincere there were no new problems, I had no choice but to attribute the failure to the pre-existing damage.
Has the failure occurred in turn 8 (125 MPH) or in turn 9 (100 MPH apex) things could have been much worse.
I would not use it.

Id agree with rickpeak,
That damage there could adversly effect the rigidity of the sidewall, and then blow out on you. That is right on the bead too, if you do reuse it, use a **** load of bead sealer. And make sure to lube it liberally when remounting. If you don't have lube, soapy water will work too.
