What Mod first?
Hey there,
I have a 01 accord sedan. Not sure what mod i should do first. I'm thinking either cold air intake, lowering with eibeck and some blues, or getting some tires and rims.
Any thoghts? I'm on a limited budget so i can only do one at a time.
Thanks

Most performance products are useless on an accord. I'd say suspension, always suspension!
Lower it about 1.5-2", get some Tokico Illuminas or KYB AGXs for some adjustable shocks, install a front strut bar, and install a rear sway bar off an acura TL type S. Get 16-17" wheels and you'll have a different car.
Catback + intake are noisy but not really useful. Get a cheap ebay intake and put a good K&N filter on it, and get a 2.25-2.5" exhaust without a huge lame tip to avoid police.
Apex'i World Sports seem to be the exhausts of choice with Accords here, but they hang really low. I'd also look into the GReddy Evo, and maybe even the Magnaflow.

..... okay usa.
the first mod you would ever want to do to any stock car is to go to a roadrace track/autocross/hpde.
and best investment you can make is to take drving school, not the one for granny and 16 years old but the high speed track school that teach you all you need to know about going fast and racing. fast driver>fast car PERIOD

i'd go with suspension mods first...a pair of shocks and springs would do nicely to improve the joy factor of driving your car...after that, i'd either get a pair of nice tires, or a rim/tire combo to improve handling as well...after you have a decent suspension setup then you can move on to power adders...

don't get a bunch of expensive bolt ons, go for suspension, like the basic guide says agxs and sportline springs. I just got the agxs on mine and it is by far the best upgrade i have made so far, far more noticeable than the namebrand i/h/e items that i shelled out alot of cash for. If i could start over id start with suspension and an ebay intake with a k&n filter like everyone says, and then start saving for a turbo after that is done, in the end though it all depends on what you want to do with the car.

I'm nice and replied with useful info. I could be a real bitch and say 'READ THE BASIC GUIDES TO ACCORDS DUMBSHIT' that is at the top of this forum, but I decided to be nice and just write something...
If it's stickied, its usually important...

No one seems to learn...
But since I'm in a decent mood, here goes:
If you read the thread, you would realize the typical bolt-ons don't do much for our cars. So, what does that leave you? Gee, let me think... Motor swap, turbo, nitrous, and/or some serious weight reduction. You want to know more, SEARCH. READ. A LOT. Then ask questions...

ahhh... the infamous h-t "holier than thou" attitude...
well, i agree with most of the other replies and say go with suspension. it makes all the difference in the world. i love the handling when a nice suspension is finally installed and you take some nice curvy roads.
i am now starting my accord project after years on my civic and suspension is going in first.
i'm going with kyb agx shocks and tein springs.
thanks accordselux for the reccommendation on the TL rear sway bar. that will be coming soon too now!

'05 w00t!!!..dont worry mang, it can get alot worse...how many Accord OG's remember Knowtommorow311?????
TxTunr, just watch yourself chief. you take **** way to seriously, and frankly if you dont like seeing the same threads over and over again, dont click on them.....for the most part, anything you could possibly ask has already been asked and answered....most likely more than once. The thing is that not all the answers can be found without alot of time spend searching, and most people arent willing to search that long, or dont have the time to search in post bodies. sure, this topic exact same topic comes up almost once a week, and even though the same answer is given everytime, give the newbies some credit: at least their not going out there and buying **** w/o asking more knowledgeable people first. remember, when its your money and your new, you have the attitude that your situation just might be unique, and youd better clarify.....
for a 6th gen accord, Tokico Illuminas w/ Eibach Sportlines, OEM TL rear sway, and some rota's with some falken azenis will bascially improve the drivibility and fun factor 10 fold, and all for just a little more than I/H/E...but you get 10x the performance upgrade

EVERYONE MAKE SURE THEY GET THE TL "TYPE S" BAR FOR SEDAN AND CL "TYPE S" FOR COUPE!
Youll also need the matching bushings and brackets since theyre sized differently. Regular TL and CL bars wont make a difference!

It was my understanding that there was no difference between the TL-S and CL-S rear sway bar, bushings, etc., and that there was no difference between the accord sedan and accord coupe rear suspensions (including sways)

I doubt there are any differences anyways between TL and CL, but I dont want to be blamed for getting the wrong parts and not having them able to reshelve them!
