Idling Problem
ok i just had enough of this idling problem on my 98 honda civic (D16Y8 MOTOR).
i tried everything. i changed the throttle body with new sensors (TPS and the MAP)
still have idling problem. new gaskets and everything. engine doesnt throw any codes at all. see this all hapened after i install my HASPORT EXTREME DRAG rear motor mount. never did it though when i installed the other 2 (tranny and motor side). my buddy and i did the work and the only way we could get the rear motor mount to line was to use a engine hoist. i know i had forgot to disconnect the harness. i dont know if that could have been the problem. some one please help!

Almost gauranteed to be the IAC or a vac leak.

Most times cleaning won't help if the IAC is bad, you almost always have to replace it.

the fitv is right under the throttle body with two lines of coolant running through it, take it apart and adjust the valve inside of there, might of backed out alot, this should help

well he said he replaced the whole tb, and he didn't know where the fitv valve was, so i'm assuming, the fitv was also replaced with the tb. try bleeding the coolant... air bubbles in that could also be your culprit.
