Will itr clutch and flywheel swap to other b-series tranny's? What about Final Drives?
I'm thinking of upgrading my clutch and flywheel and am wondering if I can give my old ones to my buddy who is swapping a jdm itr motor into his crx with a j1 tranny... Will my old clutch and flyweel bolt up for him?
What about final drives, etc? Will jdm or ats or cusco final drives be able to replace the stock final he has in the j1?
flywheel and pressure plate will bolt up.
you will have to check the clutch disc to see if it fits.

when I had a J1.. ITR disc worked on it.
however, a friend of mine needed to use a 90-91 integra disc.
i guess there were two versions available.

Some of the older Cable trannys have a different spline to them so it is actually different.

anyway for future refenceany b-series 88-91 tranny have the same (smaller) spline so the 92+ trannies (regardless of whether its hydraulic or cable) will NOT work. The 92+ b-series trannies are all interchangeable also.

Thanks Greg.
So the line of questioning follows:
What tranny's will be able to swap with the y21 final drive, clutch and flywheel? Preferably something that is cable tranny (yeah right), and with decent ratios (jdm itr or usdm itr) for the 1-5 gears..... ?

I have a JDM ITR disck and stock b16 plate ( works pretty damn good considering the clutch had 30-40k on it.
Also the hydro final drives will fit in the cable trannys but you will need lots of hydro parts and a cutting tool to make it fit. If you dont trust yourself to do this just get a ITR tranny and a conversion kit for it Place Racing makes one.

You can make the 4.785 work in the J1/S1 JJD cable tranny's all you need is the ITr LSD or better make if you want 94 and up GS-R diff bearings..and you'll need the complete counter shaft from a 96~97 ITR tranny (the one with the sam ratio's as the S1/J1...And all of the standard stuff that you need to do the finals drive swap into the Hydro trannys

Sorry, I'm a little confused. I have a cable b16a S1 tranny. I would like to use a stock itr pp/clutch; this should hold for a mild ls/vtec, right?
Would the itr pp/clutch work?
Thanks.
