what ecu '90 crx
I can't find an ecu from a '91 CRX SI, and I want the higher rev limit of 7500. Is there any other ecu I can use, say off of an Integra. I have a pm6 from an '89 AWD wagon, but it is for auto. I tried the one for an '88 SI, and it had the same rev limit of 6500. I need more rpm. (running OBD0, with mpfi swap) Somebody help. Tried searching and I guess my lookin' skills just aren't as good as I thought they were.
is the block/head built to handle that?
anyway, you could get a chip with the rev limit removed or raised, they are on ebay all the time.
it would be beneficial to not get one with crazy timings and fuel maps, but it will acomplish what you want.

I guess I just don't know what to type when I'm searching. The motor should handle it, because the SI's had that 7500 rev limit. Also have heard that I could get a '90-'91 Integra ecu it would just run rich.
I am almost positive the pm6 ecu has a 6800 revlimit.
The pg7 ecu has the 7500 revlimit.
The only reason to go above the stock revlimit is if you are making powerup there. The motor may be able to handle it but if you aren't making power up around 7000 then there isreally no point. JMO so take it for what it is worth.

with my stock ecu pm5 auto it was 6500, I got another ecu out of a '88 crx si(pm6 manual) and its rev limit was 6500 also. So were they all 6500? the car pulls really good and it seems the 6500 rev limit is holding it back.
I wouldn't rev pass 7k if your head is stock. I rev to about 7.5k b/c I have the jdm d15b and the oem cam in that motor is a little more aggressive then a regualr z6 cam xcetera. I accomplished these through a chipped ecu and a chip a friend burnt me. Not one of those crazy ebay cheaps - STAY ALWAY FROM THOSE !
Good Day,
RH.
Edit: I also have practically every bolt you can think of without going internally.

weird... i have an 89 si and it cuts out at 7200. problem is i make power past that, but without internals, i dare not put it over 7 grand. ive heard the a6 is good til 7500, but im scared to chance it, plus i couldnt if i wanted to.
O.k. my stock tach shows 7200, but my huge Autometer shows 6500. Are you guys claiming 7200 from your stock tach, or is it aftermarket? I've seen 7800 (different gear) on the stock tach also, but my huge Autometer still shows 6500. So I'm pretty sure that the stock tach is not accurate.
