Default ITR Inner Springs vs. Complete Valvetrain

I currently have a 2000 Civic SI with I/H/E i am going to install Gude stage 1 cams maybe cam gears and a chipped P06 to run a DOHC VTEC prog (changing the redline and vtec crossover).

Reading some posts they say to change out your valvetrain if you plan to modify your redline to prevent valve float.

Will installing ITR inner valve springs (which i can get dirt cheap) do the trick or should i hold off on modifing the redline until i get a complete valvetrain setup.

Keep in mind all this will be tuned with numerous dyno runs.

i'd just get the omni or rm springs and retainers since they are cheap and are very good products. I also have a Si with i/h/e and manifold/tb. I'm only putting in itr cams but I'm getting omni springs just for comfort.

redline playing can be expensive. If you don't have alot of money to repair a blown motor, you might wanna wait for the valvetrain.

Got a P06 for free and couldn't get a hold of a P28 so i am converting to what i need only $60 spent with chip program beats $185.

JUST SAY NO TO SKUNK. First of all, its not just the springs your worried about but the retainers as well. If you want to phase in some sort of ITR/Aftermarket combo I say go ITR outers and Portflow inners. To top those off go with some Portflow Titanium retainers. As for the cams, DO NOT go with Gude 1's . I would recommend CTR cams (which you can run on your current valve train or ad the type r inners for higher revs) or Buddy Club III+'s with the ITR/Portflow combo.
